Drax is a renewable energy company that generates power, produces biomass, and sells electricity to businesses. It is the UK's largest source of renewable electricity, supplying more than 165,000 businesses and organizations across the country.
Drax operates four sites in England and Scotland, including the Drax Power Station near Selby in North Yorkshire, which is fueled by biomass. The station provides 11% of the UK's renewable power, and is the most renewable power of any single location in the country. Drax also has manufacturing facilities at 13 sites in the United States and Canada, where they produce compressed wood pellets for their own use and for customers in Europe and Asia.
