ST. LOUIS, Missouri, April 29 /PRNewswire/ --

- Increases Accessibility to Market-Leading Specialty Content

Elsevier, the world's leading publisher of scientific, technical, and
medical information products and services, announced today that ten new eBook
Specialty Collections have launched on MD Consult (,
its online clinical reference tool. This launch provides online availability
of market-leading specialty content in Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery,
Family Medicine, General Radiology, Geriatric Medicine, Hand Surgery,
Neonatology, Otolaryngology, Pathology, and Shoulder Surgery.

"The inclusion of these eBook Specialty Collections on MD Consult allows
clinical institutions across the world to select from a compelling array of
key brands and current titles that meet the needs of medical specialists
underserved by other online medical resources," commented Randy Charles,
Managing Director, Global Clinical Reference, Health Sciences.

Elsevier's health science books are published under the imprints W.B.
Saunders, Mosby, Churchill Livingstone, and Hanley & Belfus, publishers with
a rich medical and health science publishing heritage dating back to 1688.

Mike Takats, Vice President, MD Consult, added "These collections make
much more specialty and subspecialty knowledge readily available to
institutions and physicians, and ultimately should help to improve the
quality of medical and surgical care around the world. Our customers have
been asking for a greater variety of the Elsevier books they already know and
trust and now we can meet that need."

The addition of these new specialty collections follows the successful
launch of five new eBook collections in September 2008, covering content in
Anesthesia, Critical Care, Hospital Medicine, Netter's Orthopaedics, and
Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. By the end of 2009, more than 400 new
specialty titles will be available as part of MD Consult eBook Specialty
