Strategic Alliance between Powernet and Wood Group Gas
Turbines
J2C (www.just2clicks.com) is totally focused on deriving
transactional revenues from B2B e-commerce worldwide and
is the UK's largest quoted operator of business-to-
business ('B2B') vertical trading communities. These
vertical communities are designed to benefit from the
Internet's ability to allow businesses in the same
industries to communicate and trade with each other on-
line. Following its recent flotation on the Alternative
Investment Market, J2C today announces a strategic
alliance between Powernet, its electric power industry
vertical trading community, and Wood Group Light
Industrial Turbines Limited ('Wood Group LIT') to
establish a global independent online market place for
gas turbines and components.
The Board of J2C is pleased to announce the formation of
a strategic alliance with Wood Group LIT, to establish a
global independent online marketplace for gas turbines
and components. The alliance brings together e-commerce
and the highly competitive arena of gas turbine repair.
The new on-line gas turbine marketplace will be
integrated into Powernet, J2C's electric power industry
vertical trading community and will provide instant
access to a digital catalogue of suppliers, products,
services and inventory with options for online trading.
The respective management teams of J2C and of Wood Group
LIT believe that Powernet's specialist e-commerce and gas
turbine knowledge and Wood Group LIT's repair and
refurbishment expertise creates a very powerful entity,
enabling the alliance to generate significant trading
commissions. The partners also believe that e-commerce
technology is a natural step to providing greater choice
and faster accesses to gas turbine and component
information that customers are seeking, wherever they are
in the world.
Wood Group LIT is headquartered in Aberdeen and is part
of the Gas Turbines division of John Wood Group PLC, an
international energy services company with 5,500
employees in 25 countries worldwide.
