Brewin Dolphin Holdings Plc have been notified by CGNU plc in a letter dated 19
October 2000 that they were at that date interested in 5,570,756 Brewin Dolphin
Holdings PLC ordinary shares of 1p each being a material interest of 3.1%. 
Brewin Dolphin Holdings Plc were further advised of the identity of the
registered holders to which this notification relates and the number of shares
