                           Purchase of own securities


On 19 July 2002 Osborne & Little plc bought back 72,538 ordinary shares of 5p
each ('Ordinary Shares'), representing 1.2 per cent. of the issued ordinary
share capital of the Company, at a price of 292.5p per share.  Following the buy
back, there will be 6,027,427 ordinary shares in issue.
