Brewin Dolphin Holdings Plc ordinary 1p shares

Brewin Dolphin Holdings Plc have been advised by Aviva plc in a letter dated 8th
November, that following sales totalling 614,375 on 7th November 2002, both they
and Morley Fund Management, (a subsidiary of Aviva plc) were at that date each
interested in 9,064,941 shares (4.74% based on an issued share capital of
