Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC ('the Company') Board Appointment


F. E. (Jock) Worsley OBE FCA has been appointed a Non Executive Director of the
Company.


Jock Worsley is Chairman of Lloyds Members Agency Services Limited and a former
President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  He
was Chairman of the Cancer Research Campaign, prior to its recent merger into
Cancer Research UK and for many years was Chairman of The Financial Training
Company Limited.  In the 2002 New Year's Honours list Mr Worsley was awarded the
OBE.


Vikram Lall, has expressed a wish to retire from Executive duties with effect
from 30th November 2003.  He has accepted an invitation to remain on the Brewin
Dolphin Holdings board as a Non Executive Director.
