                     NEW OPERATORSHIP OF PEDL068 ONSHORE UK

                           TWO WELL PROGRAMME PLANNED

Oil Quest Resources plc ('Oil Quest'), the AIM quoted oil and gas exploration
company, today announces that it has been informed that Egdon Resources plc has
received partner and Department of Trade and Industry approval to take over as
operator of the PEDL068 licence in the Cleveland Basin from Sterling Resources
(UK) Ltd. Oil Quest holds a 15 per cent. interest in this UK onshore hydrocarbon
exploration licence.

Two exploration wells, Westerdale-1 and Kirkleatham-4 are planned to be drilled
on the licence in the fourth quarter of 2005.

The Cleveland Basin, located in northeast England is a proven hydrocarbon
province and forms an onshore continuation of the prolific offshore Southern Gas
Basin. The licence area has primary reservoir targets in the late Permian
Zechstein carbonates together with secondary targets in the Carboniferous and
Permian Rotliegendes sandstones.
