                                Drilling Update


The directors of Oil Quest Resources plc ('Oil Quest') have been advised by
Northern Petroleum Plc that the Bouldnor Copse-1 exploration well on the Isle of
Wight has reached target depth and, although penetrating Sherwood Sandstones,
failed to encounter significant hydrocarbons.  The decision has been made to
plug and abandon the well.  Oil Quest had a 10 per cent. interest in this well.
