Blocklisting Application

Further to the announcement on 20 December 2005 of the Issue and award of shares
and grant of options over shares under the Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC Senior
Employee Matching Share Scheme, application has been made to the UK Listing
Authority for the blocklisting of, and the London Stock Exchange for the
admission of 611,431 ordinary shares of 1 pence each.  It is expected that
admission will take place on 30 December 2005.
