Notification of Transaction of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibility or Connected Persons

This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with
Disclosure Rules 3.1.4R(1)(a).

On 28th March 2008, Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC received notification that Mr
Simon Still, an Executive Director, has today exercised options over 60,753
ordinary shares of 1 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') at a price of 82.3p each
pursuant to the Company's Senior Employee Matching Share Purchase Scheme grant
in December 2003.

His resultant holding in ordinary shares in the Company is now 292,394 ordinary
shares (of which 15,384 are nil paid), representing approximately 0.1390% of the
total issued share capital of the Company and the total number of shares over
which options are held by him is now 40,136.
