12th March 2012 One Media Publishing Group Plc ("One Media" or the "Group") One Media receives USD$750,000 cash advance One Media, the PLUS quoted consolidators and acquirers of music and video rights, is pleased to announce that it has negotiated and received a cash payment of USD$750,000 from The Orchard, its digital distributor. The deal, which enhances the relationship between the two companies, allows One Media to use the cash to make further acquisitions in intellectual copyrights. The Orchard announced on the 6th March 2012 that it will merge its operations with that of IODA (Independent Online Distribution Alliance) to form the world's largest digital distribution service. Sony will own a significant portion of the merged companies. As a result of the deal, the merged companies (to be known as 'The Orchard') will have revenues of about USD$130 million, according to sources. One Media was named as a client party to the deal in the press releases and is positive regarding the merger.
