Comptoir narrows losses as uptick in revenue, cost cuts boost growth

Comptoir reported narrower first-half losses as peformance was boosted by higher revenue and lower costs. For the six months ended 30 June 2019, pre-tax losses narrowed to £0.53m from £0.69m a year earlier and revenue increased 0.2% to £15.8m. The company expected to end 2019 with 6 franchised operations The company said it continued to ?control its costs and improve its operational efficiencies and margins whilst maintaining great value for money, the board maintains its expectations for the full 2019 financial year.? ?The group's focus remains on continuing to invest in, and to improve, the performance of its current estate, the company said.
