Domino's Pizza to exit international markets amid ongoing gloom as system sales grow 3.5% in Q3

Domino's Pizza said it would look exit its international markets in an orderly manner as ongoing disappointing sales continued to weigh on system sales, which grew 3.5% in the third quarter. System sales grew 3.5% to £315.5m, led by 3.9% growth in its core UK and Ireland market, partly offset by a 2.7% fall in international growth. Following a review of its four international markets, the company said it was not the best owners of these businesses, and therefore decided to exit the markets in an orderly manner. Growth was also weighed down by the company's franchisee dispute, which had disrupted normal working practices. Domino's said it expected a resolution to the dispute to take time, and would likely into 2020.
