Edenville Energy expects the coal wash plant for the company's Rukwa coal project to arrive at the site during the second half of July.
Edenville said the coal wash plant had now been cleared through Tanzanian Customs and was being readied for transport to site.
A project update said: "Following the completion of the required compensation to local farmers, earthworks are now commencing for the plant site along with clearing of the stage one pit area.
"The newly purchased Volvo excavator is now in transit to site and will start work in the pit area after arrival.
"As has previously been disclosed, substantial interest has been shown from prospective purchasers of our coal. Detailed discussions have been held with several groups wishing to take delivery of washed coal once produced."
