North Atlantic NAV hits record high

North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust has raised its fully diluted net asset value per share by 24.8% to 1459p, an all-time high Its annual results showed that the revenue account showed a loss after tax of £849,000, compared to a profit of £443,000 in the previous year. Consistent with the company's long-standing policy, the Directors are not recommending the payment of a dividend. The company said while the strength in markets has provided some support for the value of the portfolio, most of the appreciation has been the result of corporate events and restructuring.
