Output falls at Gemfields' mine

Production at Gemfields' 75%-owned Kagem mine in Zambia fell to 3.5 million carats of emeralds and beryl in the three months to the end of March - down from 4.9m carats the previous quarter. Gemfields said its next auction is scheduled for July and proceeds from its auction in Jaipur in March totalled $7.2m. The three auctions held in the past nine months realised revenues totalling $18.7m. Story provided by Business Financial Newswire
