Rotala more than trebles FY pretax profit

By BFN News | 07:45 AM | Friday 07 April, 2017

Rotala has more than trebled its FY pretax profit after 12 months of progress in 2016. "We were able to make one significant acquisition in the year and two small ones," said the company. The first and largest acquisition, for its Heathrow depot, considerably increased Rotala's presence in this key market. The two smaller acquisitions were aimed at the coach charter market in the North West, in which Rotala had now established a useful foothold. "The aims of the Government's Buses Bill have become much clearer in the last year," the company said. "The effects of the Bill look to be very positive for your company, as I explain in more detail below, though it will inevitably be the cause of continuing instability in the UK bus market." Pretax profit for the year was £2.7m, up from £742,000. Revenue was also higher at £54.98m, from £50.89m. Story provided by
