Webis losses widen following drop in betting volumes

Gambling group Webis Holdings posted a deeper first-half loss, owing to a drop in betting volumes.
Pre-tax losses for the six months through November amounted to $591k, compared to loss of $19k on-year.
Revenue almost halved to $5.38m, mainly due to a reduction of betting activity in the company's international business-to-business sector.
'Performance has been steady for the new period during a normally quiet time of year for weather and lack of quality content,' Webis said.
'Overall, we continue to focus on growing player numbers, whilst keeping a close control on costs and implementing further cost efficiencies across the business.'
At 9:58am: (LON:WEB) Webis Holdings PLC share price was -0.3p at 2.35p
