                                  NEWS RELEASE

As announced March 10, 2005, the Company has completed its investigation of the
Sirruma 1 well. Despite encountering good gas shows in the well the final logs,
sidewall samples and pressure evaluation indicated that the objective section
did not contain sediments of reservoir quality which could support economic flow
rates. The well is currently in the process of being abandoned.

The Pride drilling rig, which was used in the drilling of the Sirruma well will
be moved to Molino de Viento, the second well of the two well exploration
program in the Salinas Block in the immediate future.

The Molino de Viento Prospect is located in the southern portion of the Salinas
Block approximately 25 km. south of the Sirruma location and represents a
conventional four way closed structural play in contrast to the stratigraphic
play tested at Sirruma. At Molino de Viento two target zones exist including a
section of seismically defined amplitude anomalies stacked above an ancient and
time persistent basement high. These amplitude anomalies are interpreted to
relate to gas trapped in a thick section of interbedded Lower Miocene sand and
shale. The secondary target at Molino de Viento is in interpreted fractured and
weathered basement rock which are proven producers in the Catatumbo basin to the
south and Venezuela to the southeast.

The Molino de Viento well, which is expected to spud around the first week of
April will be drilled to a depth of approximately 9000 feet. Molino de Viento
will be the fourth well in the ten well exploration program planned by Adulis/
Solana for drilling in 2005.

Adulis operates in Colombia through Solana Petroleum Exploration Colombia
Limited, Adulis' wholly owned subsidiary. The Salinas Block is held under an
Association Contract with Ecopetrol, the Colombian state oil company. Ecopetrol
has approved the transfer of interest in the block to Solana from the prior
owners and the resolution giving the approval of the National Hydrocarbon Agency
is expected to be received in the near future.
