ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ, May 16, 2000 - The Board of Directors of Bestfoods today
declared a regular quarterly dividend of 26.5 cents per share, payable on July
25, 2000, to stockholders of record at the close of business June 30, 2000.
