Notification of Transaction of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibility or Connected Persons



This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with
Disclosure Rules 3.1.4R(1)(a).



On 1 March 2007, Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC ( 'the Company') received
notification that:-



1. John Peirs Hall, a Director has exercised options over 2,611 ordinary shares
   of 1 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to the Company's Save As You
   Earn Scheme at an exercise price of 66.4 pence per Ordinary Share.



Following the exercise he now holds 3,361,543 Ordinary Shares representing 1.65%
of the Ordinary Shares in issue.



2. Robin Alec Bayford, a Director has exercised options over 2,611 ordinary
   shares of 1 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to the Company's Save As
   You Earn Scheme at an exercise price of 66.4 pence per Ordinary Share.



Following the exercise he now holds 785,706 Ordinary Shares representing 0.38%
of the Ordinary Shares in issue.



3. Jamie Graham Matheson, a Director has exercised options over 2,611 ordinary
   shares of 1 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to the Company's Save As
   You Earn Scheme at an exercise price of 66.4 pence per Ordinary Share.



Following the exercise he now holds 462,640 Ordinary Shares representing 0.23%
of the Ordinary Shares in issue.



4. David William McCorkell, a Director has exercised options over 2,611 ordinary
   shares of 1 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to the Company's Save As
   You Earn Scheme at an exercise price of 66.4 pence per Ordinary Share.



Following the exercise he now holds 638,058 Ordinary Shares representing 0.31%
of the Ordinary Shares in issue.



5. Simon Jonathan Henry Still, a Director has exercised options over 2,611,
   ordinary shares of 1 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to the
   Company's Save As You Earn Scheme at an exercise price of 66.4 pence per
   Ordinary Share.



Following the exercise he now holds 114,028 Ordinary Shares representing 0.06%
of the Ordinary Shares in issue.



6. Barry Mark Howard, a PDMR has exercised options over 2,611 ordinary shares of
   1 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to the Company's Save As You Earn
   Scheme at an exercise price of 66.4 pence per Ordinary Share.



Following the exercise he now holds 109,591 Ordinary Shares representing 0.05%
of the Ordinary Shares in issue (of these shares 106,980 are nil paid).



7. Sarah Jane Spencer Soar, a PDMR has exercised options over 2,278 ordinary
   shares of 1 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to the Company's Save As
   You Earn Scheme at an exercise price of 66.4 pence per Ordinary Share.



Following the exercise she now holds 242,167 Ordinary Shares representing 0.12%
of the Ordinary Shares in issue (of these shares 52,065 are nil paid).



8. Angela Wright, a PDMR has exercised options over 2,611 ordinary shares of 1
   pence each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to the Company's Save As You Earn
   Scheme at an exercise price of 66.4 pence per Ordinary Share.



Following the exercise she now holds 54,709 Ordinary Shares representing 0.03 %
of the Ordinary Shares in issue



9. John Cadwallader, a PDMR has exercised options over 2,611 ordinary shares of
