Camkids Group plc (AIM: CAMK), a leading Chinese designer, manufacturer and distributor of branded outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment for children, announces that at its Annual General Meeting held earlier today at its offices in Jinjiang City, China, all resolutions put to shareholders were duly passed.


Camkids is also pleased to announce the following trading update.  The Board confirms that trading across all of the Group's divisions is in line with market expectations for the current financial year.    As previously reported in the Group's Final Results on 24 April 2014, Camkids showcased its autumn / winter 2014 collection to distributors in Beijing in February 2014.  The fair in Beijing was extremely well-attended and the Board is pleased to report that following this sales fair, Camkids' order book is up by 1.2% compared with the same period last year.   


The Group will issue a more detailed interim pre-close trading update to the market in early July 2014.


Following approval by shareholders of the final dividend, as described more fully in the documents sent to shareholders alongside the AGM notice, the dividend timetable is set out below:

Zhang Congming (Executive Chairman), as a shareholder of the Company, has elected to receive his dividend under the Scrip Dividend arrangements as he considers Camkids' share price to be fundamentally undervalued and not reflective of the confidence he has in the future of the Company.


The Board is aware of recent press articles about a small number of Chinese companies proposing to delist from AIM, Camkids wishes to reassure investors that it remains fully committed to its AIM listing and continues to see a huge amount of value from it.  Camkids has been successful in attracting UK investors both at IPO and subsequently and also receives a large amount of commercial and reputational benefit in China from its listing on AIM.

Camkids is a leading Chinese designer, manufacturer and distributor of branded outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment for children and teenagers.


Based in Fujian province in China, the Group focuses on teenage sportswear for outdoor activities, combining functionality and innovation. The products are mid-range price based, targeting mid and high range markets within China.


The three main product areas are:

·     Camkids outdoor clothing - all weather jackets, waterproof trousers, shirts, tops and T-shirts, woollen sweaters, jeans, trousers shorts and skirts;

Camkids' primary route to market for the sale of its products is through its network of distributors.  The Group has established an extensive distribution network across 29 provinces, 4 municipalities and 5 autonomous regions within the PRC and is successfully expanding its presence in tier 3 and tier 4 cities. The Group has 17 authorised distributors operating over 1,285 franchised retail outlets, and is in the early stages of developing an online e-commerce platform to target online retail.


Camkids has received a number of prestigious awards. In January 2014, the Group was recognised by Asia Brand Association as the Top Brand in China for 2013 and the top ten Industry Customer Satisfaction Brand's.  The Group's Chairman also received the Brand China 'People of the Year' award.
