Trading Statement
DORI MEDIA GROUP
TRADING UPDATE
The Board of Directors of Dori Media Group (“DMG” or “the Company”), the
international media company active in the field of television, with a
focus on production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of
Telenovela, announces a trading update following the end of the
financial year to 31 December 2009.
Although the last quarter of 2009 showed a significant increase in
activity and interest in Dori Media's programmes and content, certain
contract negotiations which were anticipated to conclude in 2009 are
still on-going, reflecting continued caution by programme buyers in an
uncertain economic climate. The directors are confident that despite
these delays, agreements will ultimately be reached for much of this
business in the current year. Accordingly turnover for the year ended 31
December 2009 is now expected to be between $45 million and $48 million.
Consequently, results before tax will also be significantly below market
expectations, though this is subject to a final audit.
Early indications support the Management team’s belief that 2010 will
prove to be a strong year for Dori Media, given the industry’s positive
response to its numerous productions. The Company’s business operations
remain stable and cash generative and Dori Media continues to have a
strong balance sheet.
The Board of DMG anticipates releasing its preliminary results by the
end of February 2010.
