Offer Talks Terminated PLC
7 December 2000 plc ('EPA' or the 'Company')
                       Dec 7, 2000

On 20th September 2000, the Company announced that it had
recently received approaches from a number of parties and
was currently in discussions with one particular party.
The company emphasised that these discussions were at a
very early stage.

The Company announces that these preliminary discussions
have not proceeded to a satisfactory conclusion and have
now been terminated and that the board of directors of
EPA will continue to pursue opportunities which will
enhance long term shareholder value.

Whilst market sentiment continues to adversely affect the
share price of EPA and others in this sector, a similar
adjustment is taking place to the valuations being placed
on EPA's potential investee companies in the Far East.
This is serving to reduce the valuation expectations of
companies seeking capital, thus increasing the number of
available opportunities and potential returns to EPA and
its shareholders. The directors of EPA believe that it
is well positioned to capitalise on these opportunities
at attractive valuations as it also sought to do with its
existing portfolio despite the more exuberant market
conditions that subsisted earlier this year.

The Company remains committed to pursing its original
business strategy of identifying and evaluating
investments opportunities in technology markets in the
Far East, a strategy strongly supported by its
shareholders at the extraordinary general meeting held
on 20th September 2000.
