Statement re Artisan Circular

enterpriseAsia.com PLC
7 September 2000

             EnterpriseAsia.com Plc ('EPA')

The Board of EPA has reviewed the contents of the
circular sent to its shareholders by Artisan (UK) Plc
('Artisan') on 31st August 2000.

In its circular to shareholders dated 23rd August 2000,
the Board of EPA stated 'It is your Board's belief that
Artisan's approach is an opportunistic attempt to obtain
your company's cash assets without making a formal offer
to shareholders and without presenting any alternative
strategy for EPA and its shareholders to consider'.

Accordingly the Board of EPA sought an explanation from
Artisan on two key issues:

- Why does Artisan not propose to make an offer to all
     EPA shareholders?
- What alternative strategy does Artisan propose for
     EPA?

The circular from Artisan does not provide an answer to
either of these key issues.

Accordingly, the Board of EPA unanimously recommends all
shareholders to vote against all resolutions set out in
the notice of the meeting.
