Trading Statement

                             FIDELITY SYSTEMS PLC                              

                      TRADING STATEMENT - April 17th 2009                      

Since our last trading statement I am pleased to be able to announce a number
of new contracts we have won which will give Fidelity new products to add to
our existing portfolio.

The first is a complete departure from our normal background of EPoS products
and is centred around RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). We were approached
by a local authority who needed a new system to manage the compliance for
health and safety in Leisure Centres. Their current system was very labour
intensive, involving a designated person walking around with a clip board and
then entering the data manually onto a spreadsheet. The results from many
leisure centres where then sent to a central office to be re-typed into one
large document - an extremely labour intensive process. We investigated many
options and finally decided to use RFID tags attached to the entrance of each
area to be checked. A hand held PDA (Portable Digital Assistant) with an RFID
reader is used as the data entry device. The operator walks around the building
with the PDA, approaches an area to be checked, for example the changing rooms,
and questions appropriate to only that area appear on the screen of the PDA.
When the responses have been finalised for that location, the results are
automatically broadcasted by either WiFi or GPRS back to the central PC. Two
pilot sites where installed successfully and the client then realised that the
system could be used for other purposes inside the authority as well as health
and safety. It could be applied to plant maintenance, vehicle checking, fire
safety and many others. The contract awarded to us is for the design of the
software to manage the electronic recording of checks carried out throughout
the authority. The authority have given the rights to the design to Fidelity
and have agreed to be a reference site and has offered assistance in selling
the system to other local authorities and education departments etc. We are
aiming to finish this by the end of the third quarter of this year and will be
seeking partners and distributors to promote it. As I stated this has nothing
in common with our existing portfolio of retail software but it can be applied
to the same customers, ie local authorities and the education sector that we
already deal with.

A second project we have just completed is again different but in a way related
to our normal software offerings. A local authority client approached us for a
solution to a particular problem they had with issuing tickets for a fleet of
tourist trains. The trains run along approx three miles of promenade and have
five stations. The authority needed new hand held ticket issuing machines for
the drivers with the facility to take credit card payments. A second
requirement was for back office software to analyse the use of the trains ie
what stations were used the most, what type of customer was using the trains
and what where the busiest times. This new product has many applications where
there is a need for a portable Point of Sale system and already has opened up
new doors.

Fidelity traditionally have been associated with the retail, hospitality and
leisure industries, but having our own software developers has given us the
flexibility to provide solutions for any industry. In the current economic
situation I think it is important that we look at each new opportunity as new
potential products to resell either directly or via our reseller channel.
