MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENT

  First London appoints Managing Director of First London Intellectual Property

First  London, the international merchant banking and asset management business,
today announces the appointment of Florian Lennert as Managing Director of First
London  Intellectual  Property  ("FLIP") - First London's  recently  established
innovation business [see below for more details].

Florian  has  over fifteen years experience within both the private  and  public
sectors,   specialising  in  business  development,  research   management   and
technology transfer.  Prior to his role with First London, Florian was  Director
of  Corporate Relations at the London School of Economics and Political  Science
("LSE"),  a  position  he held since 1998. In this role he established  the  LSE
Corporate   Relations  Unit  and  developed  a  range  of  long-term   corporate
partnerships  and business-university collaborations including  those  with  BP,
Deutsche  Bank,  Siemens, UBS, EDS, Tata, the Reserve Bank  of  India  and  many
others.

Florian  was  also responsible for the development and implementation  of  LSE's
international  partnerships, working with corporations,  governments  and  other
academic  institutions globally and establishing permanent LSE  offices  in  New
York, Delhi and Beijing.

TRADING UPDATE

With  regard  to  the previously announced `material transaction'  First  London
anticipates completion within the next 7-14 days.
