TD International Welcomes J. Frank Mermoud to its Executive Team

WASHINGTON, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Strategic advisory firm TD International is pleased to announce that Mr. J. Frank Mermoud has joined its Executive Team.

Mr. Mermoud has served a 25-year career in the public and private sectors promoting commercial interests around the world.  He was most recently the U.S. Secretary of State’s Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs.  In this capacity, Mr. Mermoud was a key advocate and liaison between American executives and foreign leaders, facilitating more than $140 billion in commercial transactions.  While at State, he managed the Department’s advocacy programs in Washington, DC and U.S. embassies to promote American business interests and develop new opportunities.  Mr. Mermoud engaged senior government officials, global business leaders, multi-national organizations, and international financial institutions to ensure the integration of commercial and business perspectives into U.S. foreign policy and global economic development initiatives.

Mr. Mermoud also held senior positions in the Department of Commerce and the U.S. Information Agency.

In the private sector, Mr. Mermoud was co-founder and Executive Vice President of SageMetrics Corporation, a leading international web analytics firm, and was Senior Vice President of Aegis Communications, a public telecommunications company serving Fortune 1000 clients.

Mr. Mermoud holds a BSFS degree in History and Diplomacy from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.  He is fluent in French.
