Glenmorangie Announces New UK Development Plans

Behind a Blended Scotch

Glenmorangie plc, the leading Scotch Malt Whisky Company, announces that it is
putting considerably increased marketing investment behind The Bailie Nicol
Jarvie - its premium blended Scotch whisky brand.

The Bailie Nicol Jarvie, or 'BNJ' as it is also known, has the highest malt
content of any blended Scotch to give it an unrivalled, full, smooth taste.  The
brand, in its very distinguished packaging which uniquely includes a cork
stopper, will be supported by extensive sampling, on trade activity and new, 
'very different' and engaging advertising within this normally traditional
category.

Glenmorangie plc has recently formed a partnership with Bacardi-Martini to
distribute the brand in the UK.

Commenting on this activity, Simon Erlanger, Sales & Marketing Director of
Glenmorangie plc, said:

•   The Bailie Nicol Jarvie was named after a character in Sir Walter Scott's 
    'Rob Roy' novel.  He was a Glasgow magistrate who distinguished himself in a 
    famous incident in the book by tackling a fierce Highlander with a red-hot
    poker!

•   The Bailie Nicol Jarvie ('BNJ') brand was first introduced over 140 years 
    ago.

•   BNJ contains a blend of top quality malt whiskies which are all at least 
    8 years old.  It is the only blend that contains Glenmorangie single malt
    whisky.

•   BNJ won the gold medal award in the Scotch blends standard, 11 years and 
    under category in the International Spirits Challenge 2004.  BNJ is
    described by the highly respected whisky writer, Jim Murray in his 'Whisky 
    Bible 2004' as 'a must have blend for every cabinet'.

•   BNJ will be priced at least £1 per bottle above the current brand leader.

•   Bacardi-Martini also distributes the Glenmorangie brand in the UK.

•   The Macdonald Family & Trust, who own over 50% of the Company, recently 
    announced their intention to sell their total shareholding in the Company.  
    The Glenmorangie plc Board is now conducting an orderly sale of the Company.
