From 12th June, Majestic customers will be able to buy six bottles and have them delivered by their local store



The minimum order for delivery will be reduced from twelve to six bottles on Tuesday 12th June 2012. 


Customers can now order a mixed case of six bottles in-store, by telephone or online at  They will be delivered, anywhere in mainland UK, and the service is free if the order comes to £40 or more. 


This change confirms Majestic as a true multi-channel retailer, offering the same fantastic service in-store and online.


Chief Executive Steve Lewis said: "our minimum purchase was reduced in-store to six bottles in September 2009 and we are delighted that we can now offer this online too. It is an exciting change, I think it's important that our delivery proposition evolves to suit the needs of online consumers."


With 181 stores nationwide, free tasting events, expert staff and now free delivery on six bottles, it is even easier and more enjoyable to shop for wine at Majestic.







Notes to editors


·     Minimum purchase at Majestic is now just 6 bottles in-store, online and by telephone. 

·     Orders over £40 are delivered free of charge, anywhere in mainland UK.  Orders under £40 incur a delivery charge of £5. 

·     Deliveries must include six bottles of wine, Champagne and/or spirits.

·     The vast majority of deliveries are carried out by our stores which ensures that all customers get the same personal service and contact with our staff, regardless of whether they shop in-store or online.  Customers are contacted within 24 hours of placing their order to arrange delivery.  Each store organises its delivery schedule locally, which means the team has great flexibility in arranging deliveries at a time to suit the customer and in accommodating special requests. Generally, they will agree two hour delivery slots and can deliver in the evenings and at weekends too.  Whilst Majestic guarantees delivery within seven days, most deliveries are much faster than this, sometimes within hours.
