Board Changes
(Following the Annual Shareholders' Meeting)
Panafon Hellenic Telecommunications Company S.A. announces the
composition of the new Board of Directors following the Annual
General Meeting on the 28th September 2000. The new Board of
Directors is as follows:
1. Julian Michael Horn-Smith, President (Main Board
Director of Vodafone Group Plc and Chief Executive of its
European Region)
2. Tryfon Koutalidis, Vice President (Founder of Law office
T.J. Koutalidis)
3. George Koronias, Chief Executive Officer
4. Sokratis Kokkalis, Member (Chairman of Intracom S.A)
5. Theodoros Hatziandreou, Member (Managing Director of
Panafon Emporiki)
6. Michael John Pitt, Member (Finance Director of the
European Region of Vodafone Group Plc)
7. Stewart Dale White, Member (Vodafone Group Public Policy
Director)
8. Antonio Carrapatoso, Member (Chief Executive Officer of
Telecel, Portugal)
9. Vittorio Colao, Member (Chief Executive Officer of
Omnitel, Italy)
10. Hans Anthony Kuropatwa, Member (Director of the European
region of Vodafone Group Plc, responsible for Greece,
Malta, Netherlands, Sweden and Italy).
The Board of Directors are elected for 5 years. The previous
Board of Director's 3 years term expired and as per the agenda
of Panafon's Annual General Meeting the new Board of
Directors are elected for a 5 year term.

4. Panafon was awarded a licence to operate a GSM network in
Greece for a period of 20 years in August 1992. The network
commenced operations on 1 July 1993.
