Photon Kathaas Productions

Theatrical release of first film

Photon Kathaas Productions Ltd. (AIM: PKP, "PKP"), the South Indian film company, announces today the theatrical release of "Nadunisi Naaygal" (Dogs of the Midnight), its first production following the Company's admission to AIM in November 2010.

Nadunisi Naaygal is a small budget Tamil language production directed by PKP's Chief Creative Officer Gautham Vasudev Menon and is a three-way co-production between PKP, R.S. Infotainment and Escape Artists.

PKP has already secured revenues from TV rights of some $420,000, with further revenues expected from sales to domestic and international theatre (cinema), dubbing in other South Indian languages and other rights.  The movie's total production cost was in the order of $900,000.

Venkat Somasundaram, PKP Chief Executive said:

"We are delighted with the reaction to Nadunisi Naaygal which is our first feature film post our admission to AIM.

"One of our objectives of listing in London was to create South India's first studio-led film company and to build Photon Kathaas Productions into a brand that would be a magnet for talent and allow us to secure premium pricing for our output."
