Award of Exploration Drilling Contract

February 16th 2011

Teknomining Plc (PLUS-SX: TEKP) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with
experienced, international drilling company MAKSON. MUH. INSSOND. NAK. MAD. SAN. IC VEDIS. TIC.
LTD. STI, to undertake an exploration drilling program in the company's operation licence areas in
Diyarbakir region, Eastern Anatolia, Turkey.

Following the successful initial exploration phase, the drilling programme has been designed to
verify the positive laboratory analysis reports of previous grab samples and to confirm the
results from the Geophysical Ground Magnetic and Induced Polarisation (IP) surveys.

Weather permitting and on the receipt of local permission, it is anticipated that drilling will
commence within one month. The initial drilling program is envisaged to take approximately three

Drilling will be undertaken to a depth of approx 255 meters. The drilling process will produce
mineral cores which are about 63mm (2.5") diameter x 1 meter long. If copper is detected at the
scheduled drilling depth of 255 meters, the company will continue drilling beyond this depth. The
drilling rig is capable of drilling to depths of 1400 meters in this instance.

Core recovery rates are anticipated to be 85%. The cores will be split longitudinally, and one
half will be sent for detailed analysis to OMAC Laboratories in Galway, which are part of the
internationally renowned Stewart Holdings Group Ltd. Each core will be tested for 45 different
mineral elements including copper using the fire assay method code 30AU4. Each core will also be
tested for gold using the MA-ES method code. The purpose of the analysis is to identify the
presence and grades of various minerals in each core. The remaining portion of the split cores
will be kept securely for reference if and when required in the future.

Commenting on the Drilling activity Chief Executive Officer, Michael Holden explained that;
"The drilling contract is for a total of 2300 meters, consists of nine drill holes at minimum
depths of 255 meters and would create a 3-dimensional picture of mineral reserves in the licence

Teknomining has also contracted CFT Engineering Ltd to supervise the drilling operations. We have
previously contracted this company to carry out our geophysical surveys. We are satisfied that
these contracts are in keeping with our commitment to ensure that all our research, exploration
and mining operations are carried out to the highest international standard."

The directors of the issuer accept responsibility for this announcement.
