                      Today's GfK survey results reveal...

                  talkSPORT IS No. 1 COMMERCIAL RADIO STATION
                      IN UK WITH 5.4 MILLION WEEKLY REACH

                  •Even RAJAR reports talkSPORT audience uplift

talkSPORT is the UK's Number One commercial radio station with a weekly reach of
5.4 million adults, according to the latest results of the GfK broadcast survey
that uses an electronic audience measurement system.

The speech station has almost 350,000 more listeners than Classic FM and nearly
2 million more than Virgin AM and FM combined, according to the GfKs. The
national commercial station results are: talkSPORT 5.445 million (12% reach),
Classic FM 5.098 million (11% reach); and total Virgin 3.481 million (8%) reach.

The speech station is also ahead of Virgin in attracting more young men in the
most sought-after 16-34 age group, according to the GfK Broadcast Survey of
radio and TV audiences. 21% of talkSPORT's audience falls into this category, as
opposed to Virgin's 19% and Classic FM having less than 3%.

talkSPORT also has the highest male profile than its rival national stations
with 69% of its audience being male -- compared to Classic (44%) and Virgin

RAJAR -- the official radio ratings body that uses a diary system that relies on
people to remember what they listened to -- reports today that talkSPORT's
weekly reach has increased by 0.7% (from 2.141 million to 2.155 million) quarter
on quarter.

talkSPORT is ahead of Virgin AM and FM in the number of total hours listened
(19.1 million against Virgin's 17.4 million), average hours listened (8.8
against 6.6) and market share (1.8 against 1.6).

The GfK electronic measurement results for Q2 2004 are in stark contrast to
today's RAJAR's results (for the same Q2 period):

  • Under GfK, talkSPORT has 5.4 million adult listeners -- whereas RAJAR
    reports it has just 2.1 million

  • Under GfK talkSPORT is the No. 1 national commercial radio station --
    whereas it's No. 3 under RAJAR behind Classic and Virgin.

Kelvin MacKenzie, Chairman and Chief Executive of The Wireless Group that owns
talkSPORT, said: 'Once again, the GfK results show how talkSPORT is being
shortchanged by RAJAR's archaic system that under-estimates our audience to a
ludicrous extent and robs us of advertising revenues that are rightfully ours.'
