Award Nominations

Works Media Group (The) PLC
24 January 2008

                             Works Media Group plc
                         ('The Works' or the 'Company')

                      Academy Award and BAFTA Nominations

The Works Media Group plc, the AIM-listed independent film distributor, is
pleased to announce today that 'Mongol', a film for which it has secured the UK
distribution rights, was on Tuesday this week nominated for an Academy Award for
'Best Foreign Language Film'.

The first Kazakhstani film to be nominated for an 'Oscar', 'Mongol' is a
beautifully filmed historical epic exploring the early life of Genghis Kahn.
Directed by the Russian director Sergei Bodrov and filmed on location in the
steppes of Kazakhstan, the film will be released into UK cinemas in June 2008.

Similarly, recognition of another of The Work's titles came last week from The
British Academy of Film and Television Arts (the 'Baftas'). Andrew Piddington,
the director of 'The Killing of John Lennon', which was released to UK cinemas
late last year by The Works, has been nominated to receive an award for 'Special
Achievement by a British Director, Writer or Producer in their First Feature
Film'.

Norman Humphrey, Chief Executive of The Works commented, 'The Works Media Group
is delighted to see titles from its catalogue of films being recognised by both
the American and British Film Academies. The acquisition of Mongol was a great
coup for us and the nomination is a strong endorsement of the quality of our
film selection. We anticipate 'Mongol' will be one of the most exciting
commercial prospects on our books for 2008 and is a valuable long-term addition
to our library.'
