BT Group plc Board
BT Group plc ("BT Group") hereby announces that following Adel Al-Saleh's appointment as CEO of Luxembourg-based satellite operator SES from February 2024, Adel has informed us that he will step down as a non-independent non-executive director of BT Group at the end of the year.
Adel joined the Board in May 2020 as the nominated representative of Deutsche Telekom AG ("DT"), in accordance with the terms of the BT Group acquisition of EE Limited in 2016. DT is entitled to nominate one non-executive director for appointment to the Board for so long as the DT group holds 10 per cent or more of the issued share capital of BT Group.
We will announce Adel's replacement in due course.
